This is the day in 1992, when The Skatalites and I arrived in Saint-Nazaire and met for the first time My bicycle ride today was about 160 km from Saint-Georges-des-Gardes to Beaupréau and Vallet and Vertou to arrive on time in Saint-Nazaire. The Skatalites took another 500 km to arrive in Saint-Nazaire as well.

Skatalites European 92 Tour Itinerary a worldBEAT production Today is the 25th anniversary of that first ever Skatalites Euro Tour from 1992. This blog will publish day by day,  what happened 25 years ago. After the tour, I brought 10 of these shirts back to Switzerland as presents to some friends and family. Vin of worldBEAT gave me the tour rider after the tour. Maybe not everything in the rider really happened that way. But it’s not that easy to find out more details. Maybe it’s helpful when I post this blog. Maybe someone have some pictures or straight informations.

34th day, Antwerp, Belgium, Monday, 18th of november 1996, travel back home day The Skasplash tour 1996 is over. Over for me. The rest of the crew is leaving for London. I won’t be part of the team. Nobody really understand that. I know that money is part of the understanding. The vans are leaving in the morning. Nathan says goodbye. I remember, that he said, I was important for the succeeding of the tour and that I made the tour nicer. All the goodbyes are from the heart and full of hugs. I just go back into the hotel to pick up Rolando
