There is not much to say. I only have those nice pictures from the university ballroom. Now updated with some new pictures.
The band lineup includes:
Tommy McCook, Rolando Alphonso, Lloyd Knibb, Lloyd Brevett, Nathan Breedlove, Josh Roseman, Devon James, Cary Brown and Patrick Gordon
All I know about those pictures is, that a friend of mine shot them and she gave me all these pictures with all rights of use. I also have a poster of that show, where The Skatalites were on the same stage with Bad Manners.
A different look to The Skatalites of that time can be found here at the church house inn on YouTube.

Really nice pics Ras C but none of Knibb?
Sad to see Bad Manners billed over the Skatalites.
Part of this show was recorded by a local acolyte. I had it on cassette but not sure where it is now, although it should be on a CD. It wasn’t the complete show so it got put on another partially complete concert recording. Thanks for writing and posting about the show and the band!
Oh, thanks Brian for the comment. It would be great to hear, even just a little bit 🙂 I have this pictures from a old friend. She was there to take the pictures. I guess, Lloyd Knibb was just to far behind his drums to take a proper picture. Many years later, she was at a Skatalites show with me in Zurich, where she was talking with Lloydie about Jamaican cooking and dishes and so on. She made many nice pictures in 1996 and 1997 of all (!) The Skatalites.
To Bad to see Bad Manners over The Skatalites. But in 1992 when I first saw The Skatalites, they were billed under Linton Kwesi Johnson and Fab 5 just above Lt. Stitchie. That was sad as well. It was planned, to let them play twice on a tiny little stage outside in the festival nowhere :-)… but the full story about that will be on this blog from 21st until 23rd of august. (c)
The Skatalites are soon coming to Minneapolis in June 2019. I saw them in Seattle in 1990, and I couldn’t remember who played with them. So I am glad to see these photos. I do remember is that it was a great concert, with a moderate-sized crowd in a room with a low ceiling. Again, the Skatalites were great! Thanks for the pics!
Thanks a lot Marjorie for this nice comment. And have a nice concert. 🙂 I’m happy, you’ve found this pictures and the blog. My plan is, to update the blog in 2020, when it’s 25 years after 1995. Because, I was with the band on tour in Europe and still have some funny stories and nice pictures. I will post the blogs exactly 25 years after, so the pages will be online between April and May and in October 2020 (see a little preview here (link).
Best wishes always

I toured with Bad Manners for several years and got to know the Skatalites well, especially Lloyd, I have some great posters and pics of that time…..I have a great poster of BM, Skatalites, Toasters, Scofflaws, Ruder Than You, Skunks at NY Ritz, around 93′ I think…
