DJ Clat as part of The Roots Connection played a set of tunes at the NoF-NoF session in Neuchâtel on Saturday, August 15 in 1992.
The story begins at the Mad Lighters show in Luzern (see this blog entry) when Alain Salvi heard my selection. He told this to NoF-NoF who was responsible for the artists at his NoF-NoF sessions. Short after this show in Luzern, NoF-NoF invited me to visit Neuchâtel.
The story is already told in my diary blog about The Skatalites on tour from 1992-1997 (see this blog entry for detailed information about August 15 including the audio sample with 75 minutes of this event and the next entries for further details about the Skatalites Euro Tour 1992).
The very impressive moment of my selection was the mix of a Lee Perry heavy dub and the taped and reconstructed interview of Friedrich Dürrenmatt. This mix wasn’t recorded on the 75 minute recording, which is included on the events blog (see here). It is well known, that the famous author lived in Neuchâtel and there is a museum (website: Centre Dürrenmatt).
You’ll find the real original mix of my Lee Perry with Friedrich Dürrenmatt track on this page (see Stream and scroll down to “Story behind”).
