The Skatalites live in Grenoble 1999

The Skatalites at Le Magique – Drac Ouest in Grenoble Sat, 03-April-1999 with warm-up K2R Riddim.

After the show in Colmar (here) I went back home to travel to Grenoble the next day. In Grenoble I see Dr. Ring Ding to say hello.

After the show in Grenoble I’m sitting with the Skatalites management in a Mercedes limousine and being involved into a car crash. It is big cinema. I’ve seen it all.

Only a few hundred meters from the club, there is a traffic light. It’s red, but no traffic at all. It’s already 3 o’clock AM. We’re waiting for green light. Meanwhile there is a car coming straight onwards us, correctly on his side of the road. But at the same time I see another car from left entering the crossroad. Everything goes fast, but the two cars crash and one of them fly into our Mercedes. After the first shock I can see someone lying on the ground. The driver from the other car is leaving his car fast and is running away. What a crime scene. Later the police left us going and the taxi took us back to the hotel. The Mercedes was full damaged. But finally nobody get injured only little blessings.
