Jamaican Moonstomp Party with Abdou Day, parts of Mad Lighters and DJ Ras Claude live in concert at Schuur, Luzern on Fri, 12 March 1999.
This event is a Gössi-Production. It was to celebrate the birthday of John (I don’t know which one). So Gössi invited me to bring an international act in and being DJ at the control.
As far as I remember NoF-NoF give me the contact to Abdou Day (discogs). The mini-album “Mr. Babylon” (1998) is the actual release. Tyrone Downie is behind this mini-album. The sound is great.
Abdou Day is from Madagaskar. His voice is unique and full of sunshine. His lyrics are positiv with a message.
The other band was invited by Gössi and I can’t remember who it really was. I’ve been told, these are parts of Mad Lighters, but I haven’t seen Antonello nor Philipe, that’s why I’m not sure who it was.
Because I was at the control, I haven’t seen much of this event.
I’ve made another flyer design, but it wasn’t used.
