Almost a Roots Connection promotion

In early 1998 the Mystic Revelation Of Rastafari was offered to my to be promoter for it. It wasn’t possible at that time for me. But I was very happy to be invited by NoF-NoF to Neuchâtel as DJ Ras Claude.

Meeting Egbert Evans

It is a beautiful day. Me and Franziska travel by train to Neuchâtel. Just outside the train station is a Rastafari. I ask “Wha gwaan”. Oh yes, this is Egbert Evans from the Mystic Revelation Of Rastafari band. How beautiful it’s the flutist. Together we walk down to the Case Au Chocs.

Eggi explains, that they are on the way down to France to play inside the football stadium for representing the Jamaican football team called The Reggae Boys. Eggi also explains, that he has played on many records, but not many times been written on the cover. One famous one is Hail H.I.M. for Burning Spear.

I have a lot of great pictures from that meeting, but can’t scan them right now. Soon come.
