The Skatalites live at Bimbo Town in Basel on Wed, 06-July-1994.
This is the very first show in Switzerland by The Skatalites.
I invited all my friends. I’m happy René and Roger are there. I introduce them to the band. After the three days in St. Nazaire (1992) and the three days in the Netherlands (1993) this is my third year meeting Tommy McCook, Roland Alphonso, Lloyd Brevett & Lloyd Knibb from the original Skatalites band and Nathan Breedlove, Devon James from the younger generation. Doreen Schaffer is the second year. Bill Smith and Will Clark is for the first time.
When the time is coming, Vin (manager) asks me to help Roland Alphonso onto the stage (there is a stairway up). After bringing Roland on stage, I enjoy the show, the music, everything.
Some very nice pictures NoF-NoF did outside the club. I’m not really sure, if it was the very first time for NoF-NoF to meet them all, but some of them for sure.
Because it is the first ever show in Switzerland, I’m proud to present exclusively some samples from that show, just to show, how great the concert was.
Tommy McCook introduce the show with his Countdown Time. Freedom Sounds featuring the solos of Tommy McCook, Nathan Breedlove, Will Skabone Clark, Roland Alphonso, Bill Smith, Devon James. Sugar Sugar is for/from/with Doreen Schaffer. Rockford Rock is not the whole tune, but also massive as Freedom Sounds.
