King Kurt live at the Casino, Luzern Fri, 24-February-1984.
It is a cold February night in Luzern. Shortly before my brother and I are leaving for Ski holiday. I would rather be at the Clash concert the next day in Bern, but that is not possible.
I heard some strange things about a group called King Kurt and my brother wants to go. At Casino is a strange place for a Punk concert, but it was in the Châlet. Officially King Kurt from the UK is Psychobilly. But I put some sound examples to illustrate better.

The number one tune is called “Destination Zululand”. Here is the video clip from that time. And yes, the band is not serious, they are really crazy. And so is the audience. In the middle is the dance craze. They through everything strange from the stage into the audience. Flour and soap and kind of blood…
And here is a live clip I’ve just found and yes, it illustrates the party a bit. But, inside the audience it was different. My brother pushes me into the dance craze and I’m dancing the hell out of me. It was almost impossible to stay on the feet, because the ground was full of slimy slippery things. So I pull my brother inside the circle of dance as well… after the concert everybody was completely different from before the show… (laugh).
And yes, the next day was this great show in Bern with The Clash. But I wasn’t there, was lucky to find this record somewhere, so I can listen to the concert anytime.
